You need to choose the right chicken for your dish as it is very important to make a healthy recipe, like if you are opting for a cheap battery-reared chicken you will definitely get a slimy and stringy dish with a flat and boring taste because these chickens are usually fed on high calorie diet which is full of fat and develops no or very less muscles in the chicken.  But on the other hand if you are choosing a domestic chicken which is organic will give you a firm meet which is very tasty and full flavored, simply because organic birds are raised on a natural diet and they roam freely under better and healthier conditions. Now, cost wise these chickens will cost you more money but will surely give you better taste and meat quality. If you want to decrease the level of fat further, you can also trim off the areas which contain more fat like on the thighs to enjoy a healthier and tastier meal.
Do not leave raw chicken at room temperature and always wash chicken with clean cold water to avoid contamination. You should always keep the chicken in the coldest part of your refrigerator, use deep freezer and use it within 48 hours. If you have cooked the chicken already I would recommend do not leave it out for more than two hours. If you’re planning to use frozen or packaged chicken it should not be older than one year. Be creative in the kitchen and whip up new interesting, low-fat and healthy chicken recipes for you and your family. Substitutes are always available if you cannot find a particular ingredient to make your food testy.
While cooking follow basic safety rules, avoid accidents and ensure your safety. Be happy, healthy and live a long life.
